SevenRooms manages reservations, waitlists, tables, guest profiles, marketing, reviews, and events for full-service restaurants and hospitality groups. Its AI features support table allocation, guest recognition, staff notes, customer messages, feedback analysis, and phone reservations.
For this review, we assessed where the AI makes an actual decision, where it only rewrites information, what staff must review, and how much setup is required to keep the output reliable.
AI Table Management is the strongest feature. SevenRooms says it evaluates more than 10,000 seating combinations per second using party size, visit history, and live demand. It cannot correct unrealistic turn times, late table updates, or unusual walk-in traffic. A plan that looks efficient on screen may still fail during service. Dynamic pricing also needs judgment because the highest immediate revenue is not always the best decision for regular guests.
Client Insights puts preferences, spending, behavior, and notes into reservation and pre-shift views. That placement is useful. “Guest value” is more questionable: spend should provide context, not determine service quality.
Note Polish standardizes staff notes but does not verify them. An incorrect allergy or incident can look more reliable after rewriting, so the review panel matters. AI Responses also leaves email, SMS, and review replies under staff control. Serious complaints still require investigation.
Voice AI handles FAQs, reservations, changes, cancellations, deposits, and payment links using live SevenRooms availability. It still depends on current holiday hours, large-party rules, accessibility information, allergen guidance, and escalation instructions. Pricing remains opaque: SevenRooms does not publish plan costs, call allowances, or Voice AI overage rates.
